📚About the Program

Master’s in LLM in International Law at University of International Business and Economics (UIBE)

It’s usually two-year’s full-time learning. But if students get the required credits and pass the dissertation defense, applying for early graduation is permitted.

Training Methods:
1)  Course instruction is the main method, and international law courses will adopt lectures, workshops, and other methods, emphasize on case teaching and encourage students to actively participate in classroom teaching. Chinese courses adopt a small-class-based lecture model, focus on improving the students’ ability to listen, speaking, reading, and writing and emphasize the interaction between teaching and learning.

(2) Adopt a credit system and total credits should not be less than 24 points.

(3) Mentors are mainly composed of professors and associate professors from the Institute of International Law of Wuhan University who have a background of studying abroad and excellent English skills and have the qualification to guide graduates.

(4) Promote students’ global outlook and their ability of independent study. Employ experts at home and abroad who have a high academic reputation to give lectures.

(5) Assessment methods of compulsory courses include examination and appraisal. The appraisal is aimed to supervise and urge students to participate in course learning activities and focuses on testing students’ ability and method of using their existing theory and background knowledge to analyze, judge, and resolve practical problems, and its forms may be versatile. The examination can adopt book-close examination and thesis or other forms, testing students’ abilities to understand and use their learned theoretical knowledge systematically and their abilities to conduct independent research. Both methods are chosen by teachers.

💸 Living Expenses in Beijing

Expense Average costs
Accommodation On average, a single room student dormitory accommodation will cost about RMB 1500 per month, or about RMB 18,000 per year, including utilities.
Food A meal at the university canteen/restaurant or in a fast-food restaurant outside would cost about RMB 7 to RMB 30. The average monthly bill for students that will study in Beijing, China can be between the range of RMB 1800 to RMB 4000.
Transportation A one-way local transport ticket in Beijing costs about RMB 4. The taxi start rate costs about RMB 13, plus the additional taxi rate per kilometer of about RMB 2.30. A monthly transport pass for university students in Beijing would cost around RMB 200.
Extra costs: Some extra costs for university students who will study in Beijing, China are books and study materials around RMB 210 to RMB 350 per month (increased costs for those studying Sciences, Medicine, or Art), and medical insurance of about RMB 400 per six months.

Entry Requirements

You are not eligible to apply to this program because:

The minimum age is 18 and the maximum age is 65.

English fluency is required.
You need to be either:
- A native English speaker
- Studied a degree in English before
- Can demonstrate a high level of English
- Having an English certificate such as IELTS level 6 or TOEFL 95 and above is an advantage.

Minimum education level: Bachelor's.

The program is quite competitive, you need to have a high grades of Average B, 60%, or a high GPA.

Application process:

Applying Online is simple in just a few steps. More information is available here.

The first steps are to choose the programs, pay the application fee and upload the application documents.

Once submitted to China Admissions, we will review your application within 2-3 days and proceed to the university or ask you for further clarification

After it has been processed to the university you will receive your unique application ID from each university.

The university may contact you directly for further questions.

We will then follow up each week with the university for updates. As soon as there is any update we will let you know. If you have made other plans, decide to withdraw / change address at any time please let us know.

After you have been accepted you will receive your admissions letter electronically and asked to pay the non-refundable deposit to the university.

Once you have paid the deposit the university will issue you the admissions letter and visa form to your home country.
